Repurchase Agreements

A Commodity Repurchase Agreement (Repo) is a financial transaction where one party sells the underlying commodity to another party with a promise to repurchase them later, often at a higher price.

ACM’s cleared commodity repo contracts centralizes this process, reducing risk and democratizing market participation. Through partnerships with renowned warehouse partners, and a strict collateral management protocol, there is an emphasis on prevention of fraud. ACM also conducts stringent vetting and regular monitoring of their trading members to ensure market participants in the commodity repo contracts constantly meet requirements to trade on ACM. From a legal and contractual perspective, our contracts and policies ensure that ACM has the right to sell the collateral and recover clients’ funds should there be a default.

PT Asia Commodity Clearing House (“ACCH”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of PT Asia Commodity Marketplace.

ACCH provides clearing and settlement services for all traded transactions across the range of products listed on ACM. Through ACCH, members can take advantage of our post-trade management services to optimize operational efficiencies.

Central Counterparty to Every Trade

ACCH shoulders several critical responsibilities, including the clearing of trades, settlement of trading accounts, collection of margin payments, regulation of asset delivery, and the reporting of trading data. By acting as a counterparty to all trades under ACM, ACCH contributes to the security and efficiency in the commodities market.
